Bio

​Quavis Stokes was born and raised in Charleston, SC. His interest in accounting was ignited during his senior year of high school when he took an elective accounting class. This experience fueled his passion for accounting and numbers, and he subsequently decided to major in accounting in college with the goal of becoming a professional accountant.

 

Upon graduating with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Mr. Stokes commenced his professional career as an Accounting Coordinator for a global paper manufacturing company in Charleston, SC. Concurrently, he pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration. After five years in the manufacturing industry and armed with an MBA, he relocated to Charlotte, NC, where he embarked on a new role as an Accountant in the financial services sector.

 

Shortly after his move to Charlotte, Mr. Stokes began working part-time for a reputable tax preparation company. After three years of preparing individual tax returns, he founded his own tax preparation business, Stokes Tax Service. Over time, he rebranded the company to Stokes Tax and Business Solutions LLC, expanding its services to include both bookkeeping and income tax preparation.

 

Currently, Mr. Stokes resides in Charlotte, NC, where he holds the position of Vice President of Accounting for a financial services company while continuing to operate Stokes Tax and Business Solutions LLC.

 

In his leisure time, Mr. Stokes enjoys traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, watching sports, acquiring new skills, and exploring different cigars!
